OAKLAND — At least one person was shot at Skyline High School in the Oakland hills Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.
It was not immediately known if the person shot was a student, teacher or staff member. Their condition was not known.
Initial reports were that one person had been detained.
The shooting was reported about 1:25 p.m. Wednesday at the school, which is at 12250 Skyline Blvd.
What prompted the shooting has not been released.
The school was placed on lockdown while numerous police were on scene, authorities said.
