Country music superstar Toby Keith was known for his patriotism and that did not go unnoticed on Veterans Day. Keith died in February 2024 after he was diagnosed with stomach cancer, but his team has continued to post on his social media accounts.
On Tuesday, Nov. 11, some throwback photos of Keith performing for the military were shared on his official Instagram account.
"There’s no doubt that Toby loved our service men & women. Happy Veterans Day to all who have served," the post's caption read. It didn't take long for fans to share their fond memories of Keith, paying tribute to the late star.
"We know he’s doing his 12th USO tour in Heaven," one person wrote.
"He was the BEST. Thank you to all who served," someone else said.
"Such a patriot greatly missed. Thank you all who served and are serving," a third comment read.
"The best there ever was," a fourth Instagram user added.
Per the Instagram post, Keith did 11 USO Tours over the course of his impressive career, visiting 18 countries to perform for thousands of troops.
On Oct. 30, Keith's team shared a throwback video of him singing "Should've Been a Cowboy" while hanging out with former NFLer Troy Aikman.
"Before it was a hit (and the most played country song of the 90s), it was just a song Toby shared with his friend @troyaikman," the caption read.
The comments section of that post also filled with fans saying how much they loved Keith and how much they miss him.
