In celebration of “Wicked: For Good,” Airbnb is partnering with fans to provide a one-of-a-kind experience in Southern California.
“Wicked: For Good” picks up a few years after the first film ended. Cut to Elphaba, who’s settled in a treehouse in the Ozian Forest. At her new home, she studies the Grimmerie (the spell book featured in “Wicked”) and improves her powers.
To celebrate the film, an Airbnb getaway in Thousand Oaks, inspired by her sanctuary in the film’s sequel, is inviting fans to “step directly into her story.”

(Courtesy of Airbnb) ExpandThere are two options that guests can request: an experience and a stay.
The experience is boasted as a once-in-a-lifetime chance for any “Wicked” fan, as not only will they get to immerse themselves in Elphaba’s hideaway, but they’ll have a roommate along for the ride: Cynthia Erivo. The retreat is inspired by Erivo’s journey as Elphaba, with the actor expected to share stories of her process and bond with the character over fireside tea. There will also be an opportunity to weave your own witch’s broom and maybe even sing a tune that defies gravity with the film’s star. Up to 20 guests will be chosen to join Erivo for the experience on Dec. 3.
The second option guests can request is a stay at Elphaba’s Retreat. The overnight experience will mean fans can spend an entire day and night at Elphaba’s. They’ll be treated to food inspired by the forest and immersive rituals. The stay will take place from Dec. 6 – 7, 2025.
To enter to win the experience and/or stay, fans can visit airbnb.com/wickedforgood for a chance to book the experience, or airbnb.com/wickedforgoodretreat for a chance to enter the stay. The deadline to enter the running for the experience is November 13 at 7 a.m. PT, and the deadline to enter the contest for the stay is November 20 at 7 a.m. PT. There is no cost to submit the request.
