Jessa Duggar is making changes in her own routine to hopefully help an ongoing health concern with her baby boy, Edward.
The former 19 Kids and Counting star, and now mom-of-six, took to Youtube on Monday with the update that to help heal her 3-month-old's rash, which was present on his head and torso, she made a dietary change of her own. "I made the decision about a week ago to go off of dairy, so I've not had dairy in about a week," she said. "I'm wondering if he has something that one of my other kiddos had. Henry had the same rash on his head, eczema, you know, under his arms and all of his creases. And when I went dairy-free when he was about 4 months old, all of his stuff cleared up."
"I'm hoping it's just the same issue for Edward. So, I'm giving it a try," she added.
Duggar who taped seemed to have taped her YouTube video a day ahead of her Nov. 4 birthday, mentioned that her decision to ditch dairy may not have had the best timing.
"It's kind of depressing honestly because tomorrow's my birthday and I have this thing for ice cream, and I also really love my coffee," she said, mentioning that she's also going to nix drinking coffee entirely as milk substitutes just don't cut it.
However, she knows that any inconveniences from going dairy free will ultimately be outweighed by her son—who, at the time "wants to itch his little head"— feeling better.

"I don't have anything severe like celiac or something like that where it's going to be the biggest deal ever," she said. "But I would say like your baby breaking out with a rash is kind of a big deal."
Duggar shares her brood with husband Ben Seewald whom she married in 2014. Together, the two keep followers updated with their lives through social media. In this particular YouTube episode, along with her health update regarding Edward, Duggar also shared scenes from her 33rd birthday celebration, which the baby was present for. ?
