Morgan Wade has had a busy 2025. She recently released the extended version of her current album, The Party is Over (recovered), adding five new tracks to the deluxe edition. She also wrapped aCanadian acoustic run and has a few shows left stateside to round out the year.
With such an ambitious past few months, it’s clear to see that Wade has been on a roll musically. But that time, churning out new tracks and touring has given her a new perception. She realized she had not given herself time to ‘experience some life.’
So she has decided to do that next year.
Morgan Wade Opens Up About Her Future in Heartfelt Post
In an emotional post on Instagram, the Virginia native thanked her fans for their support and also announced her plans to step back from touring after performing hundreds of shows over the last few years, many of which included serving as an opener for Alanis Morissette on the 2024 Triple Moon Tour.
View this post on Instagram“Hey y’all. I just want to take a minute to talk about a couple of things. One, thank you. It’s been about 500 shows in the last, I guess, technically three and a half years, amazing, maybe even more than that, my math is off,” Wade began in her video, posted on social media on Thursday Nov. 6. “I have been to a lot of places that this small town girl never thought that she would get to go to. I have done a lot of things. I have met a lot of people. I couldn’t have done any of that without you guys buying tickets and listening to my songs. I’m forever grateful for that. So I just really want to say thank you.”
She continued, “I’m going to be taking some time off from touring. I’m not going to be doing as much as I have been. There are a lot of things that I’m working on outside of the music world. There are a lot of things that I haven’t had time to do, and I’m going to go do that and take a bit of a vacation and experience some life.”
The 30-year-old “Wilder Days” singer didn’t go into further detail about what she wanted to do outside of music and touring, but she described 2026 as being “a little different than it has been.”
“I say that and then who knows,” she laughed, leaving her plans a little open-ended. “I appreciate each and every one of those. I’ll do a few more shows. See you there.”
Folks who saw Wade’s post chimed in with love, messages of support, and plenty of emotion.
“Makes me a little sad, but I understand completely. Take care of yourself,” one person commented while another fan added, “Glad you’re taking time for yourself to reflect and reset.”
“Hurry back, and we will be waiting,” a third person wrote.
Morgan Wade Has a Few Shows Left for 2025
