There was one person who was not a big fan of his mom's stint on Dancing With the Stars. Danielle Fishel's 6-year-old son was very upset that she was spending so much time away from home while she competed on Season 34 of the popular dance competition show.
On the Nov. 10 episode of the Pod Meets World podcast, Fishel, 44, said that Adler was not a fan of his mom's new gig. She recalled a specific night when Adler was scheduled to have a movie night with friends, but he didn't want to go — he wanted to hang out with her.
“I said, 'well, actually, while you're at movie night, I have to go back to rehearsal.' And he bursts into tears and says, 'I hate this job. Why did you take this job? All you do is dance, dance, dance, dance. That's all you do. You never get to hang out with me and Keaton anymore.'"

Things got so hard for young Adler that he actually told his teacher that his mom "died." Fishel, who is also mom to son Keaton, 4, had a talk with her son, but it didn't seem to make him feel better.
"We're still working through it," Fishel said.
Fishel and her pro partner Pasha Pashkov were eliminated from the competition on Tuesday, November 4. And while that may have been super sad for the dancing duo, we're confident that Adler is happy to have his mom around more.
