When it comes to relaxing and meditation, Annabella Sciorra knows exactly what to do.
The 65-year-old actress has been starring in the drama television series Tulsa King since 2022 and has been in the industry since the late 1980s. Sciorra came to prominence in 1989 with her film debut in True Love and worked steadily throughout many 1990s films such as Jungle Fever, The Hard Way, The Hand That Rocks the Cradle, The Addiction, Cop Land and What Dreams May Come. She is also known for her role as Gloria Trillo in the early 2000s sitcom, The Sopranos.
On Saturday, Sciorra revealed her Top 10 joys to the New York Times — starting with her longtime favorite: baking.
"I do Christmas baking all year long. It’s a kind of meditation to me," Sciorra revealed. She also mentioned that her mom was a fantastic baker as well, and learned everything from her. "I do all the things that she did, and I have all her recipes, and I’m actually organizing them in a book so I can make copies to give to my brothers and sisters-in-law."

In her New York Times feature, she gives a special shout-out to Christian Petroni's book From Parm to Table, noting that it reminds her of her own mother since Petroni's family is also from Ponza, a small island in Italy.
Her Italian heritage is a very big part of the actress's identity. At the end of the article, Sciorra also admitted that she plans her vacations to Italy around the local markets. She has even shared her love for Italy and its markets on her social media.
"If I’m going to be in the Naples area, I’ll make sure it’s the day of the week that that market is happening. Or I’ll make sure I go to Rome when I can go to a specific flea market. In Sardinia, there’s a fantastic flea market [on] Thursday mornings, but only in the summer," she admitted. "I love buying things that I would never buy here, like the dishrags. Sometimes it’s not even about buying, it’s just about looking. It’s like an insight into the culture."
