Mrs. Wanda Gortney, age 75 of the Defeated Creek Community, died Saturday morning, November 8 at Highpoint-Riverview in Carthage. She is survived by: husband, Robert Gortney; 2 sisters, Teresa Wix of Birmingham, Alabama, Debbi Cook and husband Terry of Lafayette; brother, Bobby Powers and wife Kathy of Lebanon; step-son, Robert Brian Gortney of Scottsville, Kentucky; 2 grandchildren, Robert Brian Gortney Jr of Fort Worth, Texas, Vanessa Gortney of Lebanon; 4 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will meet on Friday November 14 at 1:00 PM at the Wilson Memorial Park in Lebanon for Graveside Services and Interment. Bro. Frank Bratcher will officiate. Serving as pallbearers are: Derrick Wix, Isaac El-Amin, Scott Moore, Daniel Beaty, Clay Crockett, Robert Brian Gortney Jr.
