Dart has completed 62.7% of his passes (128/204) for 1,417 yards, 10 touchdowns and 3 interceptions in 9 games (7 starts) this year. He has added 317 yards and 7 touchdowns as a rusher.
With Daboll, Dart looked like the Giants’ next franchise quarterback. New York believes it needs a new voice in the locker room, though, to return to true contender status. Offensive coordinator Mike Kafka will serve as the team’s interim head coach for the remainder of the season. The Giants will host the Green Bay Packers in Week 12 (1 p.m. ET).
