How much snow fell in the Chicago area during winter storm? A look at totals

More than a foot of snow fell in a matter of hours across parts of the Chicago area early Monday as a lake effect storm made for treacherous travel conditions and dangerous commutes, but what you saw depended largely on where you live.

And it’s not over yet.
