Wendy’s Just Perfected the Frosty With One Sweet and Crunchy Holiday Twist

When it comes to soft-serve mix-in treats, there are plenty of options to satisfy a craving. And if you’ve been left disappointed by the seemingly always-broken McFlurry machines, your local Wendy’s might just have the fix you’ve been waiting for.

Just in time for the holiday season, and with no better autumnal option on the market right now, Wendy’s new Snickerdoodle Cookie Frosty Fusion has officially arrived and is already making waves online. Featuring a creamy Vanilla Frosty base, this sweet, caramel-like treat is blended with a cinnamon snickerdoodle sauce and finished with cookie crumbles. As someone who loves indulging in nostalgic treats, I knew I had to get my hands on one ASAP.

When I ordered, the employee quickly schooled me on which base to choose, since Wendy’s lets you pick between Vanilla and Chocolate. After being assured that Vanilla was the superior option, I happily obliged and awaited my fate. Now, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t already a sucker for Wendy’s Oreo Brownie Frosty Fusion, but after watching @snackolator’s review comparing both flavors of the new Snickerdoodle Frosty, I felt confident I was in for a treat.

Upon first bite, it was as if the clouds parted and the angels themselves sent praise down to earth of my incredibly perfect dessert choice. This iconic treat doesn’t just taste amazing, it totally lives up to its growing online hype. The employee helping me mentioned while ordering that each bite would taste like a cinnamon bun frosty and she couldn't have been more correct.

    My Frosty Take

I found Wendy’s Snickerdoodle Cookie Frosty Fusion to have a perfect balance of caramel and snickerdoodle flavors, neither one overpowering nor lost on the palate. The mix of smaller and larger crunchy bits added bursts of flavor throughout, and the ingredients were blended evenly, which is a welcome change for anyone who’s ever been handed an unstirred McFlurry.

And while I’m usually partial to chocolate flavors, I can now confidently say the Vanilla base reigns supreme for this treat. If you’re looking to indulge even more, ask for an extra pump of caramel, but you really can’t go wrong as is. Some fans are pairing it with Wendy’s Hot & Crispy Fries for a sweet-and-salty combo, while others opt for extra cookie crumbles mixed into a regular Frosty for a lighter twist. I personally stuck with the order as it came and was not disappointed.

Which brings me to my final point: this thing is sweet! If you decide to try one, just know the sugar level is high, so if that’s not your vibe, consider sharing. Otherwise, I can’t recommend it enough. With fall in full swing and seasonal cravings already setting in, this is one temptation worth giving in to.
