Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Zay Jones left Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks with an Achilles injury and will not return, according to the team.
He ends the afternoon with no catches on one target.
The wide receiver went down late in the second quarter with the Cardinals driving deep in Seahawks territory.
After being targeted in the end zone and beginning to walk off, Jones went down with the injury. The TV broadcast showed his leg pop before going down.
He was helped off the field by trainers and did not put any weight on it.
Additionally, the Cardinals lost defensive linemen Darius Robinson and Walter Nolen III late in the game.
Robinson exited with four tackles, while Nolen registered two.
Rabbit questionable to return for Cardinals
In addition to Jones’ exit, second-year pro Dadrion Taylor-Demerson left the game with an ankle injury suffered in the first half.
The safety is officially questionable to return.
Injuries have only added to Arizona’s issues in Seattle. Heading into halftime, the Cardinals trail 38-7.
The Cardinals offense has largely been stagnant outside of a second quarter touchdown run by wide receiver Greg Dortch.
Defensively, Arizona has been gashed on the ground and through the air down three starters — Will Johnson, Mack Wilson Sr. and Max Melton — plus Rabbit.
Additionally, offensive lineman Jonah Williams is questionable to return with a shoulder issue picked up in the third quarter.
In his place at right tackle is Kelvin Beachum.
Running back Bam Knight is also questionable with an ankle injury, while wide receiver Simi Fehoko was ruled out with a wrist issue.
