Mick Fleetwood just surprised fans with a surprise performance of "Tusk!"
The Rock & Roll Hall-of-Famer joined forces with the University of Southern California’s Trojan Marching Band on Friday, Nov. 7 for a halftime performance during the school’s football game against Northwestern.
The song, originally recorded by Fleetwood Mac in 1979, has a special history with USC. At Fleetwood’s request, 112 members of the Trojan Marching Band joined the group to record the track at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles — resulting in one of the most iconic collaborations in the city's history.
The marching band later reunited with Fleetwood Mac on multiple occasions, including for a performance at The Forum (now the Kia Forum) and during the recording of the group’s 1997 live album, The Dance. The song peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100, where it stayed for three weeks.
