Martina McBride is sending birthday wishes to her late father.
Less than a year after losing her dad Daryl Schiff, the country music songstress took to Instagram to share an emotional tribute on what would have been his 87th birthday.

Martina McBride Shares Emotional Birthday Message for Her Late Father
On Friday, Nov. 7, McBride shared an Instagram carousel with multiple photos of her dad, who died suddenly in January. featured a number of throwback shots of Schiff, who was also a musician, playing the guitar and performing on stage.
View this post on Instagram"Happy Birthday Dad," McBride, 59, wrote in her caption on Friday. "I miss you everyday. I miss our nightly calls. I miss laughing with you. Sharing recipes and videos of our gardens. Your stories. Your voice. I really miss your voice."
"I feel you around me," the "Concrete Angel" singer added. "I’m grateful for the time I had with you. I love you."
At the time of her dad's death in January, McBride announced the sad news via Instagram, revealing that Schiff had died "suddenly and peacefully" while at his home.
"Our hearts are broken," McBride wrote in her Jan. 18 post. "He was 86 and had an amazing life."
In addition to being a "third-generation family farmer," Schiff was also the leader of their family band, The Schiffters.
"He taught me so much about music, about life, about how to treat others," added McBride, who also lost her mom, Jeanne Schiff, in 2020 following emergency heart surgery.

"Over 1800 conversations that I am so grateful I had. I was able to record some of them, some of his stories, and they are priceless to me. He kept active, still driving and living in his home, and 'going down for coffee' with his friends at the local CO-OP."
She continued: "He loved his family, his friends, and our mom. Having lived here all of his life, he was such an important member not only of the Sharon community but many communities in the area. People remember going to the Schiffters dances and hearing him sing."
"He had the kindest blue eyes and a great laugh," added the "A Broken Wing" singer, who also said, "So much of who I am came from him."
"There is so much more I could write, and probably will," she concluded at the time. Thank you for keeping us in your prayers during this time."
Martina McBride Recently Mourned Another Major Loss in Her Life
In May, just months after losing her dad, McBride also had to say goodbye to her dog, Mae.
She didn't announce the news until September, writing in an Instagram post, "It’s taken me a while to write this but we lost our sweet Mae on May 5th. I guess it’s just taken some time to feel like it wouldn’t be rushed."
While noting that the beloved Maltipoo had been having heart issues and was on "a lot of medication" for a while, McBride wrote, "But still you're never ready."
