CHILI, N.Y. — The Chili community came together on Saturday morning to cheer and clap for veterans as they walked through the gym at the Chili Community Center.
The “Line of Honor” has become a tradition in the Town of Chili ahead of Veterans Day, which falls on Tuesday, Nov. 11, this year.
After the annual Veterans Breakfast, community members carried flags and provided messages of support for veterans. On Facebook, the Chili Recreation Department wrote:
“The Line of Honor is one of the most heartfelt traditions we share. It’s a simple but powerful gesture, a moment for our Veterans to feel the love, pride, and gratitude of the community they’ve protected. Many have described it as one of the most meaningful recognitions they’ve ever received.”
