Selling Sunset‘s Mary Bonnet shared concerns about Chrishell Stause‘s behavior before her exit from the show.
“I am not going to go into details but I’m not one to hit back or hit lower,” Mary, 45, said on the Friday, November 7, episode of SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio. “I’m going to try to still take the high road.”
Mary was “hurt” by Chrishell “trying to demean” her character, adding, “But it was just complete lies. It’s hurtful more than anything. I’m not even mad. I’m just hurt.”
After saying she “never” saw it coming, Mary was questioned about what led to the division between her and Chrishell, 44.
All of the Biggest 'Selling Sunset' Feuds Throughout the Years
“Your guess is as good as mine. I don’t know if she’s going through something. I don’t know but I feel like it’s projection,” Mary speculated. “It’s not one target. It’s not like she’s mad at one person. It’s just coming out towards anybody.”
She continued: “We kind of joke around about it. But it’s like, ‘Oh, it’s my day.’ So it’s like everyone is just getting attacked every day and we’re like, ‘What is going on?’ We expect it right now but what can you do? I’m not the kind of person that’s going to lash back and so I’m just not looking. I hear stuff and I have to answer questions but I couldn’t tell you details of what it is because I tell my friends, ‘Don’t send me the stuff.'”
Season 9, which premiered on Netflix last month, was a tumultuous experience for Chrishell, who was at odds with most of her costars except Chelsea Lazkani. After Mary discussed her own feud with Chelsea during an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Chrishell called her out on social media.
“I was there for all the on camera and off camera moments. You were never in danger girl,” Chrishell wrote via Instagram. “Alluding that you ever were regarding Chelsea is really dangerous rhetoric. Do BETTER.”
‘Selling Sunset’ Stars Then vs Now: What They Looked Like Before the Show
Chrishell and Mary continued to be at odds at the reunion, which aired on Wednesday, November 5. Days after the special was released, Chrishell confirmed her exit from Selling Sunset after nine seasons.
“I’ve gotten to a place where I don’t need the show financially. I’m lucky to have other forms of employment, because it’s no longer good for my mental health,” Chrishell told Bustle on Friday, November 7. “If they do continue, I wish them the best. If they do do another one, by then, I may not watch it. I don’t know. But I have no ill will toward the show. The show has given me so many opportunities, and I don’t want to be bitter about it, even though I’m leaving not in the way that I would’ve loved.”
She continued: “I think, after so many hours, I felt like, ‘Sit here, get through it. You’re not a quitter, but you never have to do this again.’”
