ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Club passes for the 2026 Rochester International Jazz Festival are now on sale, and organizers are promising lots of surprises this year starting with changes to tickets.
“We’ve got a really, really good selection of amazing marquee jazz artists who we might not normally have in the festival, because of the capacity. And they play in bigger venues. So we’ve added the Eastman Theater,” said John Nugent, executive director of the Jazz Fest.
For the first six days of the festival, club passes will grant access to ten exclusive venues, including the Eastman Theatre. The final three days will remain ticketed for headlining acts.
“A lot of people have asked us, why don’t you have a one day ticket? And we thought, well, you know, we want people to get a three day. Some people can’t be here all three days,” said Nugent.
Ticket prices are increasing, but founders believe the value is also rising.
“The artists want to be paid and we value what artists want to be paid, whether it’s at a headliner level, club, past series level, even the local professionals that we pride ourselves on,” said Marc Iacona, artistic director of the Jazz Fest.
This year, the festival is announcing artists as they are booked, instead of waiting until March. A nine-day club pass costs around $400. For more information and to see the list of announced artists, click here.
