TEMPE — The Arizona Cardinals have ruled out cornerbacks Will Johnson and Max Melton and linebacker Mack Wilson Sr. ahead of their Sunday matchup against the Seattle Seahawks, according to head coach Jonathan Gannon.
Through two days of practice, Melton (concussion) and Wilson (ribs) had been nonparticipants, while Johnson (back/hip) was listed as a DNP on Thursday.
Melton went down with a concussion in last week’s win over the Dallas Cowboys and did not return. Same goes for Wilson with his ribs issue.
As for Johnson, who saw 99% of defensive snaps in Week 9, this marks the second straight week he’s been listed on the injury report. Last week, it was due to a groin issue.

With both cornerbacks sidelined, the Cardinals will turn to Kei’Trel Clark and rookie Denzel Burke to pick up the slack alongside Garrett Williams. Chigozie Anusiem and Darren Hall are two more options, though they would need be elevated off the practice squad.
Burke is coming off his best game as a pro, reeling in his first interception to go along with two passes defensed.
At inside linebacker, Akeem Davis-Gaither figures to take over the green dot in Wilson’s absence.
Rookie Cody Simon, who is also coming off a career game against Dallas, will get some added run alongside the veteran. Owen Pappoe is another name to watch for extended playing time.
