Hallmark fan favorite Yan-Kay Crystal Lowe has shared a heartfelt update with fans, saying, “I am so sad,” as she announced she won’t be able to attend Christmas Con 2025 in New Jersey. The Signed, Sealed, Delivered star revealed that her ongoing breast cancer treatment will prevent her from traveling in December, though she promised she’ll be back for the 2026 convention.
In a new Instagram video, Lowe told fans, “Hey guys, it is Crystal Lowe here. I unfortunately have to make an announcement. I will not be able to attend Christmas Con this year in New Jersey. I am so sad because now more than ever I want to meet all of you and talk to you about your favorite Christmas traditions and everything you're doing, but at that time I will be getting an infusion and I won't be able to get on a plane, unfortunately."
She continued, "Good news, though! Christmas Con has been so generous and kind and has taken care of me so well that I will be at the 2026 Christmas Con in New Jersey and I can't wait to see you then. And by then, who knows, I might even have hair again!” She ended the clip by blowing a kiss to the camera.

The event organizers echoed her message in their caption, writing, “❤️ We have bad news, followed by good! The lovely Crystal Lowe will no longer be able to join us this year due to her treatment schedule. She had so hoped to make it, but her health comes first & we are sending her huge hugs & all the Christmas spirit we can muster! ? The good news is… she will be with us for Christmas Con next year! We look forward to seeing her in NJ in 2026! ? And while we’re at it with the good news… stay tuned TOMORROW for a surprise guest announcement! ? .”
Christmas Con New Jersey takes place December 12–14, 2025, at the New Jersey Expo Center in Edison. The fan-favorite convention brings together stars from Hallmark, Lifetime and Great American Family, with this year’s guest list including Tyler Hynes, Andrew Walker, Jane Seymour, Rachael Leigh Cook and Brennan Elliott.
Lowe is beloved by Hallmark viewers for her role as the sweet and quirky Rita Haywith in the long-running Signed, Sealed, Delivered movie series. She has appeared in 15 installments, as well as holiday films including Christmas at Dollywood, Christmas at Holly Lodge, Hearts of Christmas and Marry Me at Christmas.

Lowe’s Ongoing Health Journey
In early October, Lowe revealed in a personal essay for People that she had been diagnosed with Stage 3 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. The 44-year-old mother of two shared that she first noticed a large mass in her right breast in February 2025, initially thinking she had strained a muscle. After a series of tests and biopsies, she received the diagnosis and began chemotherapy.
She also praised the Hallmark Channel for rallying behind her, writing, “Annie [Howell] and the entire Hallmark family embraced me fully, and told me that they had my back.”
Later in October, Lowe documented another powerful moment in her journey — shaving her head as her treatment progressed.

Also, I still cried a lot. But after it all…felt so strong. Side note- surround yourself with people that tell you how beautiful you are bald. That is the assignment.
