ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police say a man was shot Thursday afternoon in the area of Arnett Boulevard and Rugby Avenue in Rochester.
Police say they responded to the area just before noon for a ShotSpotter activation for multiple shots fired. While investigating, police say they found evidence of shots fired, and a man in his upper 20s came up to officers saying he was shot in the lower body.
The victim was brought to the hospital for his injuries and is expected to be okay. Police say the suspect seemed to have fled the scene in a car.
Detectives from RPD’s Criminal Investigation Section are currently investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
