Fans are sending prayers to Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra after his home went up in flames in the wee hours of Thursday morning.
According to Local 10, the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to a call of a fire around 4:30 a.m. on Nov. 6.
"The call was upgraded to a second alarm for additional man power," MDFR told Local 10 News via email. "Due to a partial collapse, units switched to a defensive attack, and are still working to extinguish the fire."
Spoelstra did not appear to be physically hurt as there have been videos of him standing outside his burning home posted online. According to the Associated Press, Spoelstra was on a flight back to Miami after the Heat played in Denver Wednesday night. His plane landed just after 5 a.m.
Shortly after the news was reported, several people took to X to react, many sending prayers to the whole Spoelstra family.
"Prayers up for Coach Spo and his family. Can’t even imagine what must be going through his head. I hope his family are okay," one person wrote.
"Prayers up Spo," someone else said.
"Awful to see, wouldn’t wish this on no one, prayers," a third comment read.
"Wtf. Prayers for Erik Spoelstra and his family," a fourth X user added.
It's unknown if anyone was injured in the blaze. At this time, the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Per the AP, Spoelstra purchased the five-bedroom home in December 2023.
