Futures qualifier Lillia Barlow will be headed to the University of California – Santa Barbara to join the Gauchos next fall.

Barlow, a Colorado native, swims for the North Jeffco Swim Team and is a senior at Ralston Valley High School. At the 2025 CHSAA 5A State Championship meet, Barlow finished 4th in the 200 free, with a new personal best 1:54.31, and 5th in the 500 free at 5:08.44.
In March, she lowered her 200 free time at the Speedo Sectionals meet in Austin, swimming 1:53.17. She also set new best times in the 500 free (5:00.80), 1000 free (10:22.68), 1650 free (17:20.87), 100 back (59.49), and 200 back (2:09.83).
Barlow is also a member of the water polo team at her high school where she was the team captain.

Barlow would have scored in the 500 free (14th) and 1650 free (7th) at last year’s Big West Championships, making her a huge addition to the program from the outset. On last season’s depth charts, she would have been 6th in the 200, 7th in the 500, and 4th in the 1650 on the UCSB roster.
