Modelo is getting in on the festive flavors and right on time for the heart of football season, early Friendgiving gatherings, and holiday celebrations.
Recent data shows that seasonal and holiday-flavored beers rank among the top-selling in craft categories, so, in response to strong demand for unique, celebratory flavors that "feel special," the top-selling beer brand is launching its own holiday brew.
In an effort to keep it classic, Modelo is launching a Noche Especial brew inspired by the "vibrant" and "cherished" holiday traditions and flavors of Nochebuena celebrations (Christmas Eve) embraced across the U.S. Hispanic community.
Modelo Unveils Limited-Edition Beer Inspired by Noche Buena Traditions
The brand's golden, full-flavored pilsner-style lager is the top-ranked beer in the U.S. in dollar sales, according to the company, so there's no way it wanted to fool around with that recipe. Instead, Modelo is launching a limited-edition amber lager. It features a toasted, caramel malt flavor and aromatic profile at 5.7 percent alcohol by volume (ABV), according to an official description, which also suggested the seasonal release offers an "elevated twist on traditional holiday ales."
Modelo launches Noche Especial amber lager for a limited time this holiday season.That said, some things remain the same, like where it's made. Modelo's Noche Especial is still brewed exclusively in Mexico as part of the Casa Modelo brand family and imported by Constellation Brands.

Those looking to get their hands on the new brew shouldn't have to wait all too long or search very far, as we're told the Modelo Noche Especial amber lager is now available at national retailers in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles, but only while supplies last (prices may vary).
