Michael J. Fox's youngest child, Esme Annabelle Fox, had a big weekend! Not only did she celebrate her 24th birthday on Monday, Nov. 3, but she also achieved a personal goal on Nov. 2: running the New York City marathon!

"Esme…then…and now," Fox captioned an Instagram post of two photos of his daughter: one of her sitting on his shoulders watching the race as a kid, and one running it herself this year, greeting her family at the finish line surrounded by confetti, with both of them smiling big and embracing.
"You did it! You are amazing, congratulations! Your dood is very proud," he continued, adding a note about her 24th trip around the sun. "Oh [yeah], and happy birthday!"

Fox's long-ago ex and longtime friend, Dirty Dancing star Jennifer Grey, sent her love in the comments, writing, "Yay [Esme!]" with a heart-eyes emoji. Lots of fans sent their congratulations, birthday wishes, and thoughts in the comments, with one writing, "Looks so much like her dad!" and another adding, "So sweet (those smiles!) Well done, and happy birthday."

Fox and his wife, Tracy Pollan, welcomed Esme on Nov. 3, 2001. They seem to try their best to keep her life as private as possible, but they do share rare glimpses of her on social media. For her birthday in 2024, Fox shared some photos of his youngest travelling and playing with their dog, writing, "Happy birthday to our renaissance gal. You do it all!
