Jenna Bush Hager has "fallen in love" with the fact that she regularly has new desk mate on Jenna and Friends since her counterpart Hoda Kotb's departure earlier this year.
On Monday with Today co-anchor Craig Melvin next to her for this morning's show, he complimented her for navigating the unconventional format with the rotation of co-hosts that's gone on for months.
"What you have managed to do over the last few months on this show from just purely, broadcasting perspective, to be able to sit next to someone different every day or two and do this, that's a feat," he said.
"I've kind of fallen in love with [it], we've had 57 first dates," she said of her various co-hosts who sat next to her over the course of the year.
And fans of the show, who have regularly shouted out their favorite co-hosts on social media, were quick to comment that Melvin was a great addition to the rotation.
"Craig Melvin!! A breath of fresh air!" one commenter wrote. "Please ask him to host again!!!"
"Love both of You! Jenna And Craig nailed it today," another added.

While there doesn't seem to be a time where the show will select a permanent co-host, as Today.com regularly posts the schedule of who will be sitting with Hager, fans have weighed in on who should take the spot.
Among favorites, TV personalityJustin Sylvester, podcast host Matt Rogers, and fellow Today anchor Savannah Guthrie have regularly received positive feedback from fans. Other co-hosts that have appeared on the show also include actress Scarlett Johansson and retired NBA player Dwyane Johnson.
