DENVER (KDVR) -- An adult man is dead and another is in custody after a single-vehicle rollover crash in Aurora just after midnight Saturday.
The crash occurred at about 12:45 a.m. just west of the intersection of East Alameda Parkway and South Chambers Road, according to the Aurora Police Department.
APD said the vehicle, identified as BMW sedan, was street racing east on Alameda from Sable when the driver, identified as 19-year-old Edwin Rosales-Sandoval, failed to negotiate a curve in the road, causing the vehicle to strike a grocery store sign and rollover.
Rosales-Sandoval, of Denver, was taken along with a 17-year old female passenger to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said. A third occupant of the vehicle, identified as an adult man, died at the scene.
APD said it determined Rosales-Sandoval was driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash, in addition to allegedly driving on a revoked license for a prior driving under the influence offense.
Rosales-Sandoval was booked into the Aurora Municipal Detention Center on charges of vehicular homicide, reckless driving, driving under the influence and driving while license was revoked, police said.
