A Homeland Security officer is involved in an Ontario shooting

A Department of Homeland Security officer was involved in a shooting in Ontario Thursday morning, Oct. 30.

Just after 6:30 a.m., Ontario police were asked to provide “emergency assistance” by DHS on the 2800 block of South Vineyard Avenue.

    Ontario police provided security and traffic control, they said in a statement.

    Ontario police were not involved in the initial shooting.

    The Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating.

    DHS did not immediately respond to a request for information.
