Elaine Hendrix received overwhelming love and support from the public after posting a health update about the injury that forced her to miss Dancing With the Stars.
Following the thrilling Week 7 episode of the show featuring the Halloween Night special, the actress announced that she would be skipping the live performance due to health reasons.
In a heartfelt Instagram video filmed from her hospital bed, The Parent Trap star explained that she was taken to the emergency room following a sudden rib injury.
"I injured my ribs during 'Defying Gravity,' and today they just seized up," she explained in the clip as she gets emotional, adding, "I want to dance, I want to keep doing this.”
Despite this, she reassured fans and the public that there’s no need to worry as she’s resting and is expected to make a full recovery soon.
"The doctor has said that with a day or two of rest, I should be able to continue, and that's exactly what I want to do," she added.
Just a day after sharing the difficult news, Hendrix returned with another hopeful health update, revealing that she’s feeling better and taking things one day at a time.

“I’m doing a check-in to let you know that I’m doing okay,” the actress said in the video, adding, “I am up and about. I’m tender. I’m sore, but I’m starting pain management today.”
Moreover, she confirmed her plan to return to the show next week.
“I’m not dancing today, I’m not dancing tomorrow and will be back on Friday. I’m just getting ready to be in that ballroom next Tuesday,” she furthered.
Hendrix’s DWTS partner Alan Bersten also expressed his deep gratitude to fans who voted for them despite missing the live performance.
Following her update, fans and fellow DWTS contestants like Boy Meets World star Danielle Fishel who wrote “Such a rockstar!!”
DWTS Season 32 winner Xochitl Gomez added, “DWTS is a marathon! So proud of you for pressing on. Let’s go!”
Pro dancer Emma Slater added “Love you.”
Meanwhile, fans flooded the comment section with words of encouragement and pride as Hendrix continues to persevere in her DWTS journey.
“So glad to hear that you are on the mend! Couldn’t be happier to be able to see you perform next Tuesday! We love you,” a follower said.

During the show’s Week 7, the Anything But Christmas star was scored based on rehearsal footage with Bersten performing their Argentine tango, which earned them a score of 32 out of 40.
