On The Golden Bachelor season 2 Women Tell All special, the cast addressed controversial contestant Nicolle Briscoe right at the top of the show. Debbie Siebers and Terri Alani were particularly upset with the behavior and comments that they didn't know about when the show was filming.

On the special, Nicolle insisted that she was on the show to find love with Mel Owens and also to empower women.
"I didn't come into The Bachelor with any strategy, to be honest with you. That was just me being me. And he and I, we had really palpable chemistry, and I think it shows on the screen. Then, when we kissed, the whole world fell away. I mean, I forgot y'all were even at the pool party," said Nicolle, to which Cheryl Steele interjected, "We know," much to the audience's amusement.
"Also, I think that I was kind of a trailblazer in the show. I was kind of a pioneer. I think I was the first one to really go in and kiss that man, and after that, everybody else was in there following," Nicolle continued.

When the lemon bar controversy came up, Nicolle admitted she could have handled it better, saying, "I spearheaded it, for sure. And I would say, it would have been better had I said I was the head chef, but I had all these beautiful sous chefs in the kitchen, and it was made with so much love from all of us, something like that."
She then said she was "100 percent on the show to find love" and that she also wants to "empower women in their 60s, and 50s and 70s, whether your age starts with a 6, 7, 8, 9, it doesn't matter."
She added, "I think it's possible to find the love of your life and maybe even create your purpose or a career, and have both, and isn't that what empowering women is all about?"

Debbie & Terri Took Umbrage With That
Third-place finisher Debbie was not going to let Nicolle get off that easily, saying, "That's really, really hard for me to listen to."
She then elaborated on that by explaining that Nicolle was incredibly dismissive of a lot of the women.
"I really need to address the 'empowering women' thing because you did not empower us, you dismissed us," said Debbie. "You dismissed me and my connection with Mel, you dismissed so many women, you dismissed the final two, saying, 'It's not gonna work out, and then call me.' I always was on your side. I have defended Nicolle every single day, but when I saw the comments about the first season, the women not being so attractive, when I saw that you really were on there to date America, to be an influencer, I was so disappointed in you, Nicolle. And I thought you were so much smarter than that. If you're going to be an influencer, you're not gonna be if nobody likes you."

Debbie with the mic drop.
But seriously, it sounds like the women were pretty shocked to hear what Nicolle said on the show when none of them were around, because in the house, they all really liked Nicolle.
"I want to remember [who Nicolle was] in the house because we had some fun times in the house, and I really love that about you. But I just want you to realize that we all really care about you, and then to go behind the backs of us, it was very disappointing for me. And I just hope moving forward that you can realize how much we did care about the sisterhood," said Terri.
Carol Freeman-Branstine did jump in to defend Nicolle, saying, "I think it's enough with the roasting, actually. We had such a great time together, and yes, there was ebbs and flows, but I really believe we were here for the same reason, to find love."
Nicolle ended the segment by saying that she loves all the ladies and she'll "do better."
The Golden Bachelor airs Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC and streams on Hulu the next day. The new season of The Bachelorette is moving to a new night when it premieres its 22nd season on Sunday, March 22, 2026.
