ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Today starts off cold once again with temps in the low 30s, and once again it’ll be a crisp fall day with highs in the low 50s and plenty of sunshine.
We have issued a Yellow Alert for tomorrow and Halloween; tomorrow for soaking all-day rain and Halloween for more rain plus gusty winds. 1-2″ of rain are possible tomorrow, which will help to fight the drought, but will also create hazardous road conditions with ponding and wet leaves. Widespread rain will transition to showers and then lake effect rain for Halloween, with gusts possibly up to or a little above 40 MPH. If you’re going trick or treating, you will need to wear a jacket over the costume!
More showers and wind expected for Saturday. We turn the clocks back an hour Saturday night, and chances for beneficial rain continue for the first half of next week. Temperatures will remain below average through this timeframe.
