Prior to Tulane, Sumrall was Troy’s head coach from 2022-2023, and led the Trojans to back-to-back Sun Belt Conference titles.
Sumrall does have SEC ties, as he played linebacker at Kentucky as well as having multiple stints on the coaching staff with the Wildcats. Sumrall was also a linebackers coach at Ole Miss in 2018.
