The annual get-together between the Georgia Bulldogs and Florida Gators is on deck this Saturday down in Jacksonville, with the hated longtime rivals meeting up for what’s affectionately known as the “World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.”
These 2 storied programs share a long and bitter history, both on the field and on the recruiting trail, sharing much of the same recruiting footprint in the southeast.
This means that the Dawgs and Gators naturally end up competing for the favor of many of the same top high school players, and one of the most recent was current Georgia running back Chauncey Bowens, who broke down what led to him choosing his current school over Florida as a recruit.
“Just legacy, you know, that Georgia running backs have,” Bowens told Georgia insider Jordan Hill on Tuesday. “… I just wanted to be a part of that”

Bowens obviously landed with the Dawgs, though, and he’s quickly become one of the most electric players for Kirby Smart’s squad in 2025.
Now, he’ll get the chance to play against the team he passed up in one of college football’s biggest rivalries this Saturday.
