DUNDEE, N.Y. — A 49-year-old man was indicted for the fourth time on predatory sexual assault charges against a child under the age of 13, according to the Yates County District Attorney’s Office.
Prosecutors say in January, Ronald Chilson was charged with eight counts related to the sexual abuse of a former foster child that happened between 2022 and 2023.
In July, prosecutors say Chilson was arrested and charged with predatory sexual assault against another former foster child.
Chilson pleaded guilty in September to criminal sexual act in the first degree, according to prosecutors. He was sentenced to ten years in prison, plus 20 years of post-release supervision, on Oct. 22.
Prosecutors say Chilson was also ordered to register as a sex offender.
Chilson’s recent indictment was the result of a victim coming forward, prosecutors say. Chilson faces 25 years to life in prison.
