Congratulations are in order for Kelsey Grammer and his wife Kayte Walsh!
The Frasier actor, 70, revealed he welcomed his eighth child on the Monday, Oct. 27 episode of the Pod Meets World podcast hosted by Danielle Fishel, Will Friedle and Rider Strong.
While talking about his memoir Karen: A Brother Remembers, written in memory of his late sister Karen Grammer, the actor told the hosts he and his wife "just had our fourth one, so it just became eight kids."
Grammar also revealed the newborn's name during the episode.
"It was like three days ago," he added. "Christopher that's just joined the family."
Grammer and Walsh, 46, share three kids together — daughter Faith, 12, and sons Gabriel, 10, and James, 8.
He is also a father to daughter Spencer, 41, with his first wife Doreen Alderman; daughter Greer, 33, with ex-girlfriend Barrie Buckner; and daughter Mason, 23, and son Jude, 20, with his third wife, former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Camille Grammer.
Through Spencer, Grammer has one grandson who was born in 2011.
Fans first found out the Cheers alum was expecting his eighth child in June after he and a visibly pregnant Walsh were photographed strolling through a park in London, England.
In May of this year, Grammer opened up to People about parenting his three youngest kids, and how it's differed greatly from this experience with his older children.
"I have neglected a couple of the kids in my life, especially the first two," Grammar said at the time. "I'm trying to make up for a little of it now. I'm still their dad, so you can always have [a] chance to show up."
"I probably should have been a little more clear and maybe less tolerant with the older ones," he added.. "I'm pretty tolerant with the young ones, but I'm clear about how there's certain expectations and certain ways to navigate through a social situation: keep it close to the vest and play it straight, and you're going to be well-served in your life. I'm a little more specific with them about doing their studies and being prepared. [I tell them], 'What's your job in life? Showing up.'"
