Who is Alex Vesia?

Alex Vesia is a left-handed relief pitcher for the LA Dodgers.
Born Alexander Victor Vesia on April 11, 1996, he played baseball growing up in Spring Valley, Calif., then in college at California State University, East Bay. He made his Major League Baseball debut on July 25, 2020, with the Miami Marlins against the Philadelphia Phillies. On Feb. 12, 2021, he was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers, where he's played ever since, with highlights including pitching in the 2024 World Series against the New York Yankees.
On Sept. 25, 2025, Vesia spoke to MLB.com about overcoming adversity in the 2025 season.
"It's been tough for all of us, a lot of ups and downs," he said. "But we gotta take it one game at a time ... I'm trying. I'm doing my best, I'm going out there, giving it my all."
