The Pioneer Woman website shared details of the tribute. On the final pages of a cookie recipe in Drummond's ninth cookbook, The Pioneer Woman Cooks: The Essential Recipes, is a photo taken at Anderson and husband, David, at their May 2025 wedding.

The couple wed on the Drummond ranch on May 17, 2025. "I couldn’t see it happening anywhere else,” Andersen said. “It’s truly one of the prettiest places, and it’s so close to my heart. We literally got the wedding date figured out the day after I got engaged, which is hilarious.”

In an interview discussing her new cookbook, The Pioneer Woman Cooks: The Essential Recipes, Ree Drummond told PEOPLE Magazine that her next cookbook will be her last. She admitted that she's "told the stories I want to tell with food, and I'm just going to keep making my favorite things."
“This is my ninth cookbook, and I had decided at a certain point that this would be my final cookbook. [However] there's been a development, and I will actually have a 10th cookbook, but that will definitely be my last," Drummond revealed to PEOPLE.
For her new cookbook, Drummond added that she “Really started examining what I was cooking day in and day out, week in and week out. And even though I would make new things and try new things, I just always kept going back to my go-to classics."
She concluded, “Naturally, I have refined and tweaked and improved the cooking times, the methods, but I hadn't ever really gone back to update the original recipes, so I thought, ‘Gosh, why don't I just tackle all of my essential recipes, which is how I consider these, but incorporate all of these improvements?’ Some of them are small but meaningful tweaks and others are a little bit more considerable.”
The Pioneer Woman Cooks: The Essential Recipes will be released on October 28, 2025. The Pioneer Woman television series, now in its 40th season, airs on Food Network.
