Reese Witherspoon's latest adventure has debuted with a bang. The Legally Blonde icon has collaborated with fan favorite mystery writer Harlan Coben for a new book, Gone Before Goodbye. It's her first mystery novel, and it's his first time collaborating with someone on one of his novels.
The pair revealed the news of their project in October 2024, and it finally debuted on October 14. The book has immediately taken off, and the pairing of Witherspoon and Coben seems to have instantly won over readers.

Coben said in an interview with Sky News on October 24 that the book was truly a collaboration between only him and Witherspoon. "Every word you see comes from Reese and me," he noted.
He also admitted that heading into the project, he was "a little wary." Coben explained, "I don't co-write novels. I don't collaborate on novels."
However, Coben added, "When she made the pitch and started talking about [it], I was like, 'Dang, that's good. We can do something with that.'"
Naturally, Gone Before Goodbye is the current selection for Reese's Book Club, and fans are already enthralled with it.
