The final Chicago Bears injury report of Week 8 is out … and it is full of pain.
Five players have already been ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens. Three of those players are starters. This is not what any of us wanted to see going into Friday.
Chicago Bears Injury Report — October 24, 2025
Four starters missed practice on Wednesday. Two more were added to the Bears injury report on Thursday. Unforunately, things aren’t looking much better on Friday.
PLAYERS WHO HAVE BEEN RULED OUT
Cornerback Kyler Gordon (groin/calf), cornerback Tyrique Stevenson (shoulder), tight end Cole Kmet (back), running back Roschon Johnson (back), offensive lineman Braxton Jones (knee)The Bears, who were already down Pro Bowl cornerback Jaylon Johnson, will be without the unit’s other two starters on Sunday when they square off against the Ravens. Kyler Gordon came up with groin and calf issues on Thursday after not being on the injury report at all on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Tyrique Stevenson’s shoulder injury from the Week 7 win against the New Orleans Saints kept him out of practice all week and will cause him to miss the upcoming game in Baltimore.
And then there is tight end Cole Kmet, who will miss his first game as a pro due to injury. Kmet has been an ironman of sorts since entering the league as a rookie in 2020, playing in 90 consecutive games since his debut.
PLAYERS WHO ARE QUESTIONABLE ON THE BEARS INJURY REPORT
Running back D’Andre Swift (groin), kicker Cairo Santos (right thigh), defensive end Austin Booker (knee), linebacker Amen Ogbongbemiga (knee)The best news from this segment of the Bears injury report is that kicker Cairo Santos has put together back-to-back full practices. After not practicing at all on Wednesday, I find it mildly encouraging that running back D’Andre Swift was able to string together consecutive practices (albeit with limited participation). Perhaps we will see defensive end Austin Booker activated before Sunday’s game. If the Bears go down that road, they will need to clear a roster space to make it happen. Otherwise, the team has until Oct. 28 to pull him off injured reserve.
THESE PLAYERS WERE A FULL GO AT PRACTICE AND HAVE NO INJURY DESIGNATION
Linebacker Tremaine Edmunds (ankle), defensive tackle Grady Jarrett (knee), wide receiver DJ Moore (hip), cornerback Nahshon Wright (hip), left guard Joe Thuney (rest)One of my biggest takeaways from this season is that DJ Moore is a gamer. Despite dealing with issues on the Bears injury report that you might otherwise expect to take him out of action, Moore gets medical clearance to suit up for game day yet again. It will take an all-hands-on-deck performance for this team to pull off an upset against the Ravens after sorting through this injury report. I hope everyone is up for the task.
