Savannah Guthrie headed into the fourth hour today with an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction, but she wore it loud and proud while co-hosting Jenna & Friends with Jenna Bush Hager.
Instead of "Sweat-ah Weath-ah," the Today co-anchor is embracing "Leath-ah Weath-ah," stunning in a pair of black pleather Spanx that had the former First Daughter calling her a "Hot Mama."
But all was not as it seemed. During the broadcast on Thursday, Oct. 23, Guthrie rocked a sultry all-black look, pairing the skinny, leatheresque bottoms with a sleek black double-breasted blazer, leading Bush Hager to call attention to the 'fit.
“Hold on, Hot Mama,” she said before diving into the day's topics. “You are looking very hot.”
Guthrie couldn't just take the compliment, though, impulsively drawing attention to a subtle problem with her clothing. “Look, I have a big hole in my Spanx,” she called out, lifting her leg up to show off the flaw on her knee and repeating, “Hole in my Spanx pleather.”
“We have coined this day 'Hole in my Spanx,'” Bush Hager joked in response, calling it "a metaphor for everything.”
The 53-year-old declined to share the cause of the tear, nor how or when she noticed it, but admitted that she just "had to" point it out.

She's also not going to stop wearing them anytime soon if she has her way, throwing them out as a possible outfit essential for Bon Jovi's upcoming tour, which was announced earlier in the broadcast.
