ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A 37-year-old man, who is a Level 3 sex offender, has been sentenced to 38 years in prison for sexually harassing and assaulting two students on the University of Rochester campus back in January.
Prosecutors say on Jan. 17, Brandon Decapua exposed himself and chased a student in the library on campus. Hours later, they say Decapua found a student at the Genesee Residence Hall and sexually assaulted and tried to rape the student.
Authorities say Decapua was not affiliated with the university.
Back in September, Decapua was convicted by a Monroe County Jury on burglary in the first degree as a sexually motivated felony, three counts of sexual abuse in the first degree, three counts of attempted rape in the first degree, and public lewdness.
