Erin Murphy just got real with fans. The former child star, best known for playing Tabitha Stephens on the ABC sitcom Bewitched from 1966 to 1972, posted a stunning makeup-free selfie to Facebook a few months after celebrating her 61st birthday.
Murphy, who is very active on social media, often posts glamorous photos when she attends events, but in an October 2025 post, she went barefaced and offered some advice to those who speculate on cosmetic procedures she may have had done.
“This is 61…WITHOUT a facelift, without any makeup,” Murphy captioned the close-up photo. “Not sure why so many random people on social media feel the need to speculate that I’ve had a facelift; but I haven’t. I suppose it’s a backhanded compliment that you think I look good ‘for my age’. This is me at 61.”
“I’ve got a scar on my forehead from when my head hit the pavement a couple years ago in a dog walking accident,” the beloved actress continued. “I’ve got a scar under my chin from when it hit the kitchen floor when I was a little girl. I have smile lines around my eyes, since I laugh more than I cry. I’ve got some freckles and a little tan, since I love the sunshine.”
Murphy suggested that those who choose to be negative should say something nice or just not say anything at all. “Get outside and enjoy this beautiful day. That’s where I’ll be,” she wrote.

Murphy’s post received thousands of comments from fans, some of whom couldn’t believe she turned 61 this year.
“Everyone knows witches age differently from mortals,” one fan joked on Facebook.
“What you have are great genes!” another wrote to Murphy.
“Beautiful. And love your message❤️ ,” a third fan added.
Other fans recalled that the childhood chin accident Murphy referred to was written into the classic Bewitched episode “Tabitha’s Very Own Samantha.” In the 1970 episode, Elizabeth Montgomery’s character Samantha asks Tabitha, who is wearing alarge Band-Aid on her face, ”How’ your chin?” She then adds, “Maybe the next time I tell you you're too young to fly, you'll pay attention to me!”
Nearly 50 years after she first appeared on Bewitched as a baby, Murphy still gets plenty of love from fans. “They’re very supportive,” she told Remind magazine in a recent interview. “Fans say, ‘I watched the show with my grandma,’ and now they’re sharing it with their kids and grandkids.”
Murphy doesn’t always choose to watch her young self onscreen with her own grandchildren. “I've always felt like it's a little self-centered to sit down and watch yourself,” she told People magazine last year, adding that if Bewitched happens to be on TV when she’s with her grandkids, she’ll let them watch it.
