BATAVIA, N.Y. — The Buffalo Diocese has suspended a Genesee County Reverend due to allegations he sexually harassed adults.
News10NBC’s affiliate in Buffalo reports Reverend Patrick T. O’Keefe was also accused of inappropriate workplace and ministerial conduct.
In 2019, O’Keefe, along with two other priests were put on a temporary leave of absence after several seminarians reported inappropriate conversations during a social gathering.
Since 1996, O’Keefe has served in parishes in Batavia, Bergen, and Le Roy.
O’Keefe has been removed from active ministry and suspended his priestly faculties. A canonical judicial review will be done to examine the allegations made against O’Keefe.
