Addy Gebhart from Marlton, New Jersey, has announced her intention to swim and study at Indiana University beginning in the 2027-28 school year. She wrote to SwimSwam:
“I’m extremely excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Indiana University!! I would like to thank all of my coaches, friends, and family for supporting me and helping me get here. I would also like to thank Coach Ray and Coach Luke for giving me this amazing opportunity. GO HOOSIERS!!”
A junior at Marlton’s Cherokee High School, Gebhart swims year-round with South Jersey Aquatic Club. We recognized her as one of the top sprinters in the cohort on our Way Too Early list of top girls’ recruits from the high school class of 2027.
In high school swimming, the Cherokee High sophomore won the 50/100 sprint double with PBs of 22.84 and 49.85 at the 2025 NJISAA Meet of Champions last season. She followed that performance with new times in the 200 free (1:50.17) and 200 IM (2:08.16) 3 weeks later at the Middle Atlantic LSC Senior Championshps.
Gebhart kicked off long-course season with a quartet of PBs in June, going 26.40 in the 50 free, 58.38 in the 100 free, 1:08.59 in the 100 back, and 2:28.54 in the 200 back. At Greensboro Futures, she lowered her times to 26.13/ 56.96/2:06.64 in the 50/100 free and added PBs of 32.03 in the 50 back, 28.26 in the 50 fly, and 1:05.16 in the 100 fly.

50 free – 22.84 100 free – 49.85 200 free – 1:50.17 100 fly – 55.54Gebhart will join Addy Gebhart, Zara Kocak, Bryce Winzenread, and Kate Fetters in the Hoosiers’ class of 2031. It took 22.55/49.60/1:47.11 in the sprint free events and 53.45 in the 100 fly to score at 2025 Big Ten Championships, where Indiana finished 2nd to Ohio State in the women’s team standings.
