PALMYRA, N.Y. — A man, 27, is facing charges after a domestic dispute investigation on Monday night, leading to a multi-agency search that lasted for hours.
Officers responded to a house on Johnson Street around 8:15 p.m. According to police, they learned that the suspect, Scott Dollar, had fought with his partner in front of their child while he was under the influence. Police say he also hit a family member in the face, injuring her, and damaged things in the home.
Police say Dollar left before they arrived and had made threats, saying he wouldn’t surrender if officers found him. New York State Police, Wayne County sheriff’s deputies, and the Macedon Police Department helped Palmyra officers search for Dollar.
After the search, which involved K9 units, drones, and officers on foot patrol, officers say they found Dollar hiding in a building. He was arrested and taken to the Wayne County Jail.
Dollar is charged with assault, endangering the welfare of a child, obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest, and criminal mischief. He will be arraigned on Tuesday morning.
