Vanderbilt is putting together a season unlike nearly any in the history of the Commodores program. They moved to 6-1 on Saturday, after knocking off LSU, 31-24, in a huge SEC battle. After the win, the Vanderbilt crowd stormed the field to celebrate the win.
However, in more good news for the program, the SEC announced there won’t be a fine given to Vanderbilt because the field rush was ‘delayed’.
Near the end of the LSU at Vanderbilt game, Vanderbilt communicated to spectators it would permit fans to enter the field after the visiting team cleared the field. Vanderbilt fans remained in the stands until the opposing team and officials had exited the playing field.

The Commodores have been executing on the football field quite often this year, and the way they executed the field-storming was just another example of that.
