Rush caused quite a stir when they announced their long-awaited reunion tour—and now, the news has become even more exciting.
Today, October 20, band members Alex Lifeson and Geddy Lee revealed that they are adding 17 more cities to the lineup of their Fifty Something Tour, which is set to begin in June 2026.
The rock legends announced the expanded schedule in a video posted to social media.
"We are blown away by the response to the announcement we made a few weeks ago that we're going back on tour, and I cannot tell you how surpris[ed] and overwhelmed we are," Lee, 72, said, in part.
"Thank you again, we just can't wait to get on stage and make all those mistakes we've been practicing," he continued, laughing with Lifeson, 72.
"We love you guys!" the Canadian music icons said in unison before ending the video.
Lifeson and Lee initially announced the anniversary tour during a "top-secret private event" at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio on October 5, per Variety. They then announced the news on social media the following day.
This will mark the band's first tour since the R40 Live Tour in 2015, as well as their first tour since legendary drummer Neil Peart's tragic death in January 2020.
German drummer and composer Anika Nilles will join Lifeson and Lee on the Fifty Something Tour.
Also in their October 20 video, Lee said the way fans have welcomed Nilles, 42, "into the Rush family," has been "very heartwarming."
"We're even more excited to get back on stage, and play with her," he added, in part.
Fans can purchase tickets via Rush's website or by accessing Ticketmaster directly.
