Sonora, CA — Tuolumne County’s Clerk and Auditor-Controller, Donny McNair, has some reminders ahead of the November 4 special election in California.
California voters will decide about Proposition 50, related to redistricting of Congressional maps.
McNair says, “Mail-in-ballots were sent out to all registered voters on October 6. If you haven’t received your ballot yet, you can reach out to the Tuolumne County Election’s Office at 209-533-5570 and we can suspend and reissue your ballot.”
The last day to request a mail-in-ballot is October 28th and the last day to register to vote is October 20 (today).
However, he adds, “If you come into the election’s office, or one of our vote centers, you can vote by conditional ballot all the way through the date of the election (even if you register after October 20).”
Conditional ballots are processed after the election, once officials confirm that the person is eligible to vote.
As of this past Friday, McNair says his office has already received back 3,400 completed ballots.
