In a carousel of her own photos and a few professional ones mixed in, Vonn also thanked her friends for supporting her through the years.
"And thank you to everyone for the kind words and flowers. I wasn’t feeling great for a few reasons and my friends really showed up. Love you guys," she noted, sharing a fun chocolate birthday cake and bouquet of pink roses, along with a video of Bruce Springsteen performing at the event.

She's Hoping to Return to the Olympics
Last year, Vonn ended her five-year retirement to launch a comeback. It was then she realized that people around the country were treating her differently.
“They were my age, and they’d say, ‘I’m so proud you’re trying again,’ or, ‘We’re with you all the way,’ ” Vonn told the New York Times back in August. “That’s when I knew this comeback wasn’t about sports, and it was definitely more than just about me.
