ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A much less cold morning with temps in the upper 40s/low 50s alongside cloudy skies… Clouds will give way to sun this afternoon with highs all the way into the low 70s! Winds out of the south will gust up to 15 MPH, and then really start to pick up tomorrow ahead of an evening cold front.
Timing for the cold front has shifted later, around 7-9pm, and we’ll continue to nail down the time throughout today. Rain amounts have decreased to around a third of an inch for the area, but the rain isn’t the main story, it’s the wind. Gusts will be in the 25-30 MPH range going into the afternoon with some spots seeing 35. Once the front passes, winds should die down before picking back up Monday.
Another low pressure system approaches early next week which will bring cooler temperatures and more beneficial rain. Next weekend is looking nicer with a return to seasonable temperatures and more sunshine.
