The Dallas Cowboys will be without cornerback Trevon Diggs for their upcoming matchup against the Washington Commanders.
Diggs suffered an accident at his home Thursday night and has been placed in concussion protocol, ruling him out for Sunday’s game, coach Brian Schottenheimer has announced.

Diggs’ absence comes as the Cowboys’ defense ranks near the bottom of the league, 31st in points allowed (30.7) and 32nd in passing yards allowed per game (269.5). Dallas will likely rely on Trikweze Bridges to fill the gap in the secondary.
Diggs’ health remains the top priority, and the team will monitor his progress as he recovers. The Cowboys will now face a division rival in quarterback Jayden Daniels and Washington, without one of their veteran defenders.
Despite Diggs’ active status in Week 6, the Cowboys already had major issues in the 30-27 loss to Bryce Young and the Carolina Panthers, so losing him altogether really takes a toll this close to game time.
Kickoff is set for 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday afternoon.
